RULES

RULES

Rules for the game. Please read them.



IN GENERAL

- Use your common sense; if you think something is not allowed but not listed in the rules, chances are we will have something to say about it.
- No trading or giving away of tek items other than the basic gamma-level unlocks.
- DO NOT leave dinos on mating if you are going away for a few days. If I see bases with full hatcheries and unclaimed babies walking around, I will wipe all dinos there.
- Do not steal eggs from other players.
- Do not demo player bases and steal anything, even if they show they can be demolished. This will result in an instant and permanent ban!!!
- Do not leave your dinos in the wild. Use the dino tracker to find and reclaim them. Tamed dinos found in the wild will be killed off.
- No cloning or selling of unique reward creatures like the Phoenix or Unicorn.
- You can travel between our servers freely
- You may create a new survivors on each map if you like



BEHAVIOR

- No PvP or griefing at all, period. Seriously!!!
- Do not change teleporter range settings on any of the public or player teleporters
- No going inside someone else's base even if the doors are unlocked
- No swearing, bullying or harassment of any kind is tolerated.
- No spamming or advertising of any kind.


NOTE: If I have to access a log to find out who did something, that means an instant ban just for needing to go through the trouble.



BASES

- Only one "epic" location allowed per player, so to leave some nice spots for other players.
- You can build other bases on the map for storing dinos, having a water base etc. As long as it follows the other rules.
- Do not build next to someone else's base. The map is big enough to find a good spot.
- Do not block artifact or resource caves or travel routes for other players.
- Do not block access to Terminals on Extinction
- Do not build on or near larger rare resource spawns (metal, obsidian, crystal, silk, sulfur, salt). One or two metal nodes is no problem, but use common sense or ask an admin/helper to take a look to be sure.
- Do not build near, or block, artifact locations.
- Do not build in or near any of the Beaver Dam locations.
- No pillaring to reserve land. See rule #3, if someone builds next to your base, ask them to leave or inform one of the admins/helpers to intervene. If you find a nice spot and are going to build a base there, we have no issue with you placing down some foundations to reserve that spot and put up a sign, but you will need to build there.
- We have huge decay times, but if you see a site that is about to decay, please report them. We do not allow pillaging/destroying bases or taking of dinos.

Please note: Buildings within beaver dam areas or rich resource locations will get removed without notice.

DINOS

- When checking beaver dams, empty out ALL contents even if you don't need it (throw away the rest). If you leave something inside, the dam will not respawn or refill it's contents. The dam needs to be wiped!
- No dinos on wandering without being hitched, this includes a.o. beetles, achatina and doedis. Any dino seen wandering around will be killed off.
- Do not drop Wyvern, RockDrake or Deinonychus eggs after taking them out of the nest. No new egg will spawn unless the old ones are gone, and the fertilized egg will remain where you drop it until it is destroyed or picked up (it will stay beyond it's expiration time). Fly out of the nesting area and just eat them or use them to make kibble.
- Do not leave any dinos on abelisk platforms. This will block others from doing boss fights from that platform.



NO-BUILD ZONES

Specific areas I noticed where no structures should be placed on or even near.


RAGNAROK
- Canyon plateaus with metal nodes (a lot have hidden metal nodes under the rocks)
- Metal deposit areas in the desert (anything with rich metal nodes)
- Crystal cave in southern desert (8K crystal)
- Crystal cave in NW desert
- Frozen lake  in Murder Snow area (8K crystal under it in a cave)
- Swamps
- Icewater lake near volcano and highlands (otter spawn)
- Oil rigs in desert at 80/60 (10K+ obsidian)
- Beaver dam areas in RedWoods, Green Obi and Viking bay area


VALGUERO:
- Metal mountains in the NW
- Beaver dam area in NE Tundra region
- Beaver dam area at lakes near Green Obi
- Salt deposit in SW white cliffs area
- Deinonychus nesting ground near castle ruins in white cliffs, plus the one nearby the metal deposit with all the golems
- Metal deposits along the map edge in the white cliffs region
- Crystal/Metal cave in NW Tundra region behind the waterfalls


This is not an exclusive list, there may be other resource/spawn sites that you should stay clear of.

I've set the despawn area to 0.5 of vanilla, but that still covers a large area where creatures and resources will not respawn after you place a structure. Do not build near resource nodes as this will block them from respawning.
